About us
Travmonde was founded in Frankfurt am Main in 2003, under the name Save & Travel, providing ground services across German destinations. By 2012 the network covered most of Europe. In 2016 we continued as Global Guide Services GmbH, and after twenty years of guiding, contracting, and operating on the ground, we became Travmonde.
We provide ground travel services — guided tours, transfers, shore excursions, tour management, local assistance, driver guides, and more — across destinations worldwide, in 43 languages. Our clients are travel advisors, tour operators, cruise lines, and wholesale buyers who need ground services sourced, confirmed, and delivered to a consistent standard.
What makes that possible is not technology alone. It is more than two decades of working directly with the people who determine whether a journey is good or not — guides, drivers, porters, assistants — learning what they need, what they can deliver, and where the gaps are. Everything we do from our offices is built on what we learned on the road. That experience is our history and how we work.

Siavash Sartipi
Growing up between cultures, Siavash experienced firsthand how travel can bridge worlds. After years in the travel industry, he noticed a gap—travelers were missing the authentic connections that make journeys truly transformative.
In 2018, he founded Travmonde with a simple mission: connect travelers with local experts who could share not just places, but stories. Today, Travmonde partners with over 1,000 verified local experts across 150+ destinations.

Our Vision
Ground travel is the part of the journey that the industry has not yet solved. Flights, hotels, payments — all of it works. But what happens when the traveler arrives — the guide who is waiting, the driver who knows the route, the excursion that runs exactly as described — still depends on a fragmented, relationship-dependent network that most of the industry navigates manually, one email at a time.
Travmonde exists to change that. We are building the infrastructure that makes ground travel services as reliable, structured, and bookable as every other part of the journey — a single platform, a single standard, and a single point of accountability across destinations worldwide. Not a marketplace that connects buyers and sellers and steps aside. But an operational system that sources, assembles, guarantees, and delivers.
Our promise
We have been working in ground travel since 1997. That experience has shaped how we think about the business and what we consider non-negotiable.
We believe accountability cannot be shared. When something is booked through Travmonde, we own the outcome — the confirmation, the delivery, and the resolution if something goes wrong. The local supplier makes the experience possible. The responsibility stays with us.
We believe standards matter more than scale. Every supplier in our network has been assessed directly. We would rather offer a smaller, reliable catalog than a broad one we cannot stand behind.
We believe local knowledge is not a differentiator. It is a prerequisite. Understanding how ground travel actually works — destination by destination, supplier by supplier — is the foundation of everything we can offer, and the thing that cannot be shortcut.
